Nottingham Forest fans have reacted on Twitter as Lyle Taylor<\/a> scored his first goal of the season in a 1-1 draw with Derby County<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘Hughton Gambled’ and ‘Lacklustre Performance’<\/h3>\n

Forest<\/a> had to come from 1-0 behind in order to take a point against Derby County at the City Ground.<\/p>\n

Martyn Waghorn<\/a>‘s excellent freekick just past the half-hour mark opened the scoring before Taylor reacted quickest to prod home Anthony Knockaert<\/a>‘s corner.<\/p>\n

The Fulham loanee produced an inspiring performance, with Forest fans already keen to see Knockaert tied down permanently.<\/p>\n

Kamil Jozwiak<\/a> had the ball in Forest’s net towards the end of the second half, but the Derby forward was denied a winger as Waghorn interfered with play from an offside position.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the 1-1 draw, Chris Hughton said his side were fortunate to take a point after a slow first half showing.<\/p>\n

He told NottinghamshireLive<\/a>: “It\u2019s the second game this week we have started poorly. We did that against Rotherham and it was the same again tonight.<\/p>\n

“We had to do better in the second half.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been a tough week. We\u2019ve got a lot of players who have played all of the game.<\/p>\n

“In the end, did we deserve more? Probably not on the first half performance, but we finished the game very strongly.”<\/p>\n

One major talking point was Hughton’s choice of tactics for the fixture.<\/p>\n

The former Newcastle United<\/a> and Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a> boss opted for a standard 4-4-2 formation, with Taylor and Lewis Grabban<\/a> working together up-front.<\/p>\n

But the Reds lacked a creative spark and the link with attack proved disjointed.<\/p>\n

Hughton introduced loanee Knockaert at half-time, taking off Grabban, and reverted to a 4-2-3-1 formation, and Forest fans are keen for that set-up to remain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hughton gambled on the 4-4-2 system, it didn\u2019t work. (That\u2019s fine he\u2019s trying to find his best team) Fig and the the 2 full backs aren\u2019t great, and we need to find a better balance in midfield. We will improve during the season<\/p>\n
