Leicester City<\/a>‘s injury woes continue as Turkish centre-back \u00c7a\u011flar S\u00f6y\u00fcnc\u00fc<\/a> has been ruled out with abductor tear. He suffered the injury while on international duty. Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the news<\/a> after the defeat to<\/a> Aston Villa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

S\u00f6y\u00fcnc\u00fc is now out of action and expected to spend three months on the sidelines. He got injured while training with the Turkish national team. Medical scans done over the weekend revealed the extent of the injury for the 24-year-old defender.<\/p>\n

Abductor tear injuries have various degrees. However, the one suffered by S\u00f6y\u00fcnc\u00fc was possibly of the worst kind. Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Soyuncu\u2019s tear is perhaps as bad as it could be.<\/a> He said: \u201cThe muscle is right off the bone, so he could be out for three months which is an absolute shame for him and a big miss for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Replacements for S\u00f6y\u00fcnc\u00fc<\/h3>\n

S\u00f6y\u00fcnc\u00fc was vital for the Foxes last season. The Turkish centre-back replaced Harry Maguire<\/a> effortlessly as Leicester City finished in fifth place. His injury will make things very difficult for his side to replicate that feat this season. New signing Wesley Fofana<\/a> made his debut against Aston Villa on Sunday. The 19-year-old French defender was impressive on his debut and Leicester City fans will hope that he can form a good partnership with the veteran Jonny Evans<\/a>. In addition, Wes Morgan<\/a> can also fill in, especially in the Europa League.<\/p>\n

Injury nightmare for Leicester City<\/h3>\n
