His wand of a left foot became an absolute nightmare for defences and a move to the Spanish capital was well-earned.<\/p>\n

The Welshman’s form in the Premier League was then carried over to La Liga, but he was soon hit with a series of injuries. These injuries then became far too frequent for the impatient Real Madrid<\/a> fans, and he soon fell victim of the fans turning against him.<\/p>\n

It was especially in the last few years, where limited game-time and Bale’s ‘bite-backs’ turned his relationship completely sour.<\/p>\n

It is no doubt that Bale still has the ability to perform at the highest level. Re-joining Spurs has given the 31-year-old a platform to showcase what he still has to offer, in a team who will cherish having his presence.<\/p>\n

Also during Mourinho’s press conference, he mentioned that Sergio Reguilon<\/a> has noticed that Bale is a ‘different player’ to the one he saw at Madrid. Being at the club that brought him so many happy memories seven years ago, has certainly made settling in easier.<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites host West Ham on Sunday, and the potential inclusion of Bale will dominate the pre-match chatter. Spurs will be looking to continue their recent run that has seen them pick up seven points from their last three.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, their visitors will not just roll over. Two convincing wins from their last two against Wolves<\/a> and Leicester City<\/a> has brought a bit of positivity around the club.<\/p>\n
