Rotherham United<\/a> have confirmed the capture of Derby County<\/a> winger Florian Jozefzoon<\/a> on a season-long loan.<\/p>\n

The Yorkshire side have agreed a deal with their Championship<\/a> rivals Derby County to bring the Dutch wide man to the New York Stadium for the 2020\/21 season.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old signs for the Millers after two seasons at Pride Park. He joined the Rams from Brentford for a reported \u00a32.8 million but struggled to hold down a regular first-team place.<\/p>\n

The ex-PSV and Ajax man featured 48 times for the East Midlands side, scoring twice and providing two assists.<\/p>\n

Rotherham Boss Pleased to Land Exciting Winger<\/h3>\n

Despite his disappointing return whilst at Pride Park, the Dutchman is still very capable of producing in the Championship. This is something that his new boss Paul Warne<\/a> is all too aware of.<\/p>\n

The Rotherham manager told the club website<\/a>: “It\u2019s great news that we\u2019ve managed to get him into the football club.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not often we sign a Dutch footballer who has played for Ajax and PSV, but we didn\u2019t sign him just because that, we signed him on the ability he showed while at Brentford.<\/p>\n

Rotherham are currently without winger Chiedozie Ogbene<\/a> who is sidelined for the next six weeks with a knee injury. However, the Millers boss made it clear that the club were already looking to bolster in that area.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s obviously not good news that Chieo is injured but we were always looking for someone to assist the team anyway.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s similar to Chieo in the sense that he wants to take people on. He\u2019s got a great footballing brain and is a really smiley character.<\/p>\n

“We like our attacking players to take risks but they also have to have a really good work ethos. I think Florian is ideal for the way we play, we unanimously agreed that he was the best person for us,” Warne added.<\/p>\n
