Luton Town have completed the signing of Joe Morrell<\/a> from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old becomes the fifth summer signing for the Hatters, and the third Welsh international to put pen to paper at Kenilworth Road<\/a>. Morrell, who was on international duty, returned back to England before tonight’s game with Bulgaria due to suspension.<\/a><\/p>\n

Morrell is an Exciting Addition for Luton Town<\/h3>\n

Despite not featuring at all in Bristol City’s start to the 2020\/21 campaign, Morrell will suit the Championship. He is a player who will never shy away and constantly demand the ball. He has a terrific work ethic and will not give the opposition a moment’s peace. Additionally, he possesses a creative flair that can turn defence into attack within a second.<\/p>\n

The Welsh international spent last season with League One outfit Lincoln City<\/a>. A beneficial spell to Morrell’s learning that saw him wins the club’s Player of the Year award. His performances for the Imps, earned the 23-year-old a chance with Wales<\/a>. An opportunity that has now turned into Morrell being an integral part of Ryan Giggs<\/a>‘ starting XI’s.<\/p>\n

A Striker Still Wanted at Kenilworth Road<\/h3>\n

Despite the positive reactions from Luton fans when rumours first emerged about Morrell’s signing, a striker still seems to be required. The work James Collins<\/a> has done and continues to do has made him a key player for Luton Town over the years. However, an alternative option to the former Crawley Town man is wanted at the club.<\/p>\n

The Hatters have not been linked with a forward this transfer period, and whether they will make a move before Friday remains unseen.<\/p>\n

What Was Said?<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the club website<\/a>, Morrell said: “It takes a good football club for me to leave Bristol City and I feel like I\u2019ve certainly got one here, that is for sure.<\/p>\n

“I’m really excited. It was always going to take a fantastic opportunity for myself to leave Bristol City.”<\/p>\n
