Ben Chilwell<\/a> and Kieran Trippier<\/a> have withdrawn from the England squad ahead of the game against Denmark, England have confirmed<\/a>. Ben Chilwell drops out due to a pre-existing foot injury which kept him out of the Chelsea team at the start of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Tripper has withdrawn due to personal reasons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chilwell and Trippier Ruled Out of Dennmark Game<\/span><\/h2>\n

Another Chance for Bukayo Saka<\/span><\/h3>\n

Buyako Saka<\/a> has endured an extraordinary 12 months, rising from the Arsenal<\/a> academy to become a star at the Emirates. Now, after making his debut against Wales last week, the young left-back looks set to start in place of the unavailable Ben Chilwell once again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Should he start, Saka will certainly be one to keep an eye on. The young defender has become known for his assists within the Arsenal ranks and can provide England with the same threat going forward. The chance is potentially there, in place of Chilwell, to stake a claim for a permanent position within Gareth Southgate’s England plans.<\/span><\/p>\n

England Looking to Strengthen Nations League Top Spot<\/span><\/h3>\n

Following wins against Wales and Belgium, Gareth Southgate will be hoping to lead England to victory once again to ensure the keeping of their top spot in Group A2 of the Uefa Nations League.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A win over Denmark would certainly strengthen their grasp on the top spot, too, with just one point separating them and second place Belgium ahead of the next round of games on Wednesday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They’ll be without both Chilwell and Trippier, but England should still have plenty of options in the defensive department, particularly from fullback. Southgate, as previously mentioned, could opt to use Saka in place of Chilwell or even Arsenal teammate Ainsley Maitland-Niles<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the other side, without Trippier, we may well see Trent Alexander-Arnold take to his usual right-back role.<\/span><\/p>\n
