Bournemouth<\/a> have rejected West Ham United’s<\/a>\u00a0\u00a313 million bid for striker Joshua King<\/a>, according to Ben Fisher of the Guardian.<\/a> The reported bid comes just a week before the window slams shut for EFL players to make the dream switch back to the top flight, or, in Josh King’s case, a return to it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After reports suggested that West Ham are closing in on securing a deal for Brentford star Said Benrahma,<\/a> too, it looks to be a busy few days at the London Stadium. As for King, he’ll be desperate to make a swift return to Premier League action following relegation with Bournemouth last season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the season could even get underway, West Ham looked set for another season of disappointment as Grady Diangana’s<\/a> departure led to an uproar by the fans and captain Mark Noble alike. Four games into the season, however, and the Hammers are 10th with six points out of a possible 12.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All of a sudden, with a couple of good results, things don’t seem too bad at the London Stadium. Add some fresh faces on top of those victories, and things may look better than ever, especially if one of those new faces is Josh King.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Norwegian forward ticks the box for Premier League proven and could be the key to West Ham improvement this season, linking up with the likes of Jarrod Bowen<\/a> and Michail Antonio<\/a> to create a fearsome front three.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first bid, in the region of \u00a313 million, has reportedly been rejected, but, it has to be said, Bournemouth will be tempted to sell should West Ham bring that offer up by another two or three million.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The deal suits both parties, too. Bournemouth would be swapping a player who seemingly doesn’t want to be there, whilst West Ham would be getting the finishing touch to their front three.<\/span><\/p>\n
