West Ham United<\/a> are closing in on the signature of Brentford winger Said Benrahma<\/a> ahead of the domestic transfer deadline, as reported by Mike McGrath of The Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Ham Focus Attention Back on Benrahma<\/h2>\n

Impressive Form<\/h3>\n

After missing out on promotion last season, several teams have shown interest in the Algerian midfielder. The Hammers are said to be in advanced talks over a deal, said to be worth in the region of \u00a330 million according to Sky Sports.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 25-year old scored 17 goals last season, assisting ten more in all competitions in an instrumental season which led to the play-off final.<\/p>\n

David Moyes allowed Felipe Anderson to join Portuguese side, Porto<\/a>, on loan for the rest of the season on deadline day, while exciting prospect Grady Diangana<\/a> also left the club earlier in the window. With the departure of the duo, there is a need to add strength in depth in attack.<\/p>\n

With wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> and Leicester City<\/a> in the league, West Ham\u2019s front three of Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio and Pablo Fornals have all impressed.<\/p>\n

Quiet Transfer Front<\/h3>\n

West Ham have been fairly quiet in the transfer window, signing Czech Republic duo Tomas Soucek<\/a> and Vladimir Coufal<\/a>. The Hammers converted the midfielder\u2019s loan to a permanent, whilst signing right-back Coufal following Ryan Fredericks\u2019 injury, which is set to keep him out until the New Year.<\/p>\n

Premier League clubs have until October 16 to sign players from the English Football League and Moyes will be looking to make some key moves.<\/p>\n

Benrahma<\/a> looks set to join former Brentford teammate Ollie Watkins in the Premier League<\/a> after the striker joined Aston Villa<\/a> in a deal worth around \u00a330 million. The forward recently scored an emphatic hat-trick against Premier League champions, Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Ham are also interested in signing forward Joshua King from Bournemouth<\/a> before next week\u2019s deadline. It is thought that the Cherries want \u00a318 million for the 28-year old.<\/p>\n
