Christian Eriksen<\/a> is growing increasingly frustrated at the amount of time he is spending on the substitutes’ bench at Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

The Independent are reporting<\/a> that the former Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> midfielder feels he should be starting more games for Antonio Conte<\/a>‘s side.<\/p>\n

Christian Eriksen Frustrated at Inter Milan<\/h2>\n

Denmark International Does Not Have Regular Starter Status in Italy<\/h3>\n

In his seven-and-a-half years in North London, 28-year-old Eriksen became accustomed to being one of the first names on the Tottenham team sheet.<\/p>\n

However, following his January switch to Inter Milan, he has found minutes much harder to come by. Eriksen did make 26 appearances<\/a> for the Italian club in the second half of the 2019\/20 season, but 15 of those came as a substitute.<\/p>\n

An even further indicator of the player’s frustrations in Italy is that of the eight league games he did start, Erikson was brought off in six. With time on the pitch coming at such a premium for the playmaker, it is clear that he is struggling to win over former Chelsea manager Conte.<\/p>\n

Overall, Eriksen has only completed a full 90-minute match on three occasions since moving to the San Siro. 2 of these have come in the Europa League.<\/p>\n

Eriksen Must Fight For Inter Future<\/h3>\n

Eriksen’s struggles since his exit from the Premier League<\/a> are nothing new to the English press. Last month, the Daily Mail claimed<\/a> that Conte was willing to sell the Dane only eight months after bringing him to the club. Eriksen reportedly has no place in the 3-5-2 formation preferred by his manager.<\/p>\n

Having been such an important player at his previous club, Eriksen accepts that he currently finds himself marooned in an unfortunate “new situation” in Serie A<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While taking part in a press conference on international duty with Denmark on Friday, the player voiced his frustrations to the watching media.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want to sit [on] the bench for the whole season. I hope this isn’t the coach’s or the club’s intention. It is going to be a busy season, [with] a lot of games in [the] programme. I expect to play,” stated Eriksen in quotes carried by the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It’s never nice to sit [on] the bench and one tends to be less patient as his experience grows,” added the man who has 98 caps and 32 goals for his country.<\/p>\n
