Raul Jimenez<\/a> has signed a new contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers;<\/a> the Mexico striker’s new deal runs until 2024.<\/p>\n

The club will now reportedly turn their attention towards securing the long-term future of winger Adama Traore<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Raul Jimenez Signs New Wolves Contract<\/h2>\n

Jimenez Has Been Prolific Since Arriving at the Club<\/h3>\n

Raul Jimenez arrived at Molineux in 2018. He has gone on to become a prolific goalscorer for the club, netting 46 times in 103 appearances<\/a> in all competitions.<\/p>\n

In a busy 2019\/20 season which saw the club progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League having come through the competition’s qualifying rounds, Jimenez scored 27 goals and made 10 assists<\/a> in 55 matches for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. Such a contribution saw the 29-year-old named the club’s Player of the Season.<\/p>\n

Upon signing a new four-year deal, Jimenez told the Wolves official website<\/a> of his delight at committing his future to the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am delighted to be here and to be at this great club. Since I was a little boy, I just wanted to play, I wanted to enjoy it, live it, and that\u2019s what I am here for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey give me all the confidence and the opportunity to be an important guy at the front, and that\u2019s what I was looking for when I arrived in Europe, and I\u2019m very happy to continue at this club.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt didn\u2019t take much persuading! It was easy for me to say yes because since the beginning, this is what I was looking for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last two seasons we have given very good performances, so I knew this club has something special and I\u2019m part of a big family here.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Wolves are getting the best out of me. I\u2019m giving Wolves my best football, but they are giving the best to me too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wolves to Focus on Adama Traore Future<\/h3>\n

Having tied Jimenez down to a new deal, the Midlands club are now reportedly set to prioritise Adama Traore’s future.<\/p>\n

John Percy of the Telegraph reports<\/a> that the club will open talks with Traore over joining Jimenez in signing a new contract.<\/p>\n

Teenage right-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is poised to join the club<\/a> on loan from Ligue 1 club Angers. Percy claims Wolves will have the option to make the Frenchman’s stay a permanent one for \u20ac20 million.<\/p>\n
