Juan Foyth<\/a> will not play in the Europa League as he is still not part of the Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> squad. This is despite Son Heung-min’s injury<\/a>. Instead, as Alasdair Gold<\/a> notes, Paulo Gazzaniga<\/a> has been added to the squad list. Gold has suggested<\/a> that despite the fact that Foyth trained with the squad yesterday, he “looks to be heading out of the club in the coming days”.<\/p>\n

Foyth Could Be Leaving Spurs<\/h3>\n

Juan Foyth has not been a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans; he is yet to appear for Spurs this season. AS<\/a> have revealed that Villareal are close to agreeing a loan move for the defender. And so it appears that the Argentinian’s time at the club is probably up.<\/p>\n

The defender joined the club in August 2017, but has made only 16 Premier League appearances. Under Pochettino he was given more time and a chance to prove himself. However, even when key personnel were injured or suspended, he has failed to secure a first-team place.<\/p>\n

Japhet Tanganga<\/a>‘s introduction is likely one of the final nails in the coffin, who has just returned from injury. Foyth is a similiar age, and is unlikely to secure a place as an experienced centre-back within the squad. Add to this the arrival of Matt Doherty<\/a>, and Foyth seems even further away from a starting spot.<\/p>\n

New Defender<\/h3>\n

Spurs are yet to replace Jan Vertonghen<\/a>, and if they sell Foyth they will have less depth at centre-back. They appear to be actively searching for another centre-back, though.<\/p>\n

The latest from Fabrizio Romano<\/a> is that the Milan Skriniar<\/a> deal is stalling. Furthermore, Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has denied<\/a> that the player is for sale.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve brought in those we want and in fact have a few in excess. I said the other day there has been contact for Skriniar, we did not receive any particularly impressive offers and he is not for sale” Ausilio said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Antonio Rudiger<\/a> is a surprising rumour<\/a>, the player previously claimed that he had been racially abused<\/a> at a match between Chelsea and Tottenham.<\/p>\n
