After a summer of headline-worthy transfers to the Women’s Super League, according to the Telegraph<\/a>, Sky Sports are expected to secure the rights to show the games from the division as of next season in what will be a huge step for Women’s football in England.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The decision comes at the perfect time, too, with the arrival of several players turning the Women’s Super League into one of the most star-studded divisions in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sky Sports to Secure Rights to Show Women’s Super League<\/span><\/h2>\n

Big Step For Women’s Game<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Women’s game still has a long way to go on and off the pitch before closing the gap on the Men’s game, but, the decision to, at least, broadcast the Super League games is a big step in the right direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Super League will only grow as the exposure and coverage come, too, as fans begin to take in the excitement of the division. Financially, with the Tv deal, off the pitch, the game will improve and, therefore, so will the football being played on it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The news last month of equal pay on England international duty was a good step in the right direction, but the reported news of Sky’s coverage next season may prove to be the difference-maker in beginning to close the gap on the Men’s game.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Super League is Better Than Ever<\/span><\/h3>\n

Following the arrivals of the likes of World Cup winner Alex Morgan<\/a> and serial goalscorer Pernille Harder<\/a>, the Women’s Super League is better than ever. It looks likely to become a dream destination for the most talented players around who will be keen to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Alex Morgan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, it is Arsenal<\/a> who sit top of the table, level on points with fellow perfect starters Everton in what is looking likely to be a season to remember in the \u00a0Super League.<\/span><\/p>\n
