Donny van de Beek’s<\/a> agent has spoken out about the Dutchman’s treatment at Manchester United<\/a> since his arrival from Ajax at the start of the month.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old signed a five-year deal at Old Trafford following a \u00a339 million move to the Premier League, but his game time has been limited.<\/p>\n

Lack of Game Time an Issue<\/h3>\n

The big-money signing has only played 101 minutes from three games so far since his arrival from Ajax. The 23-year-old scored on his debut against Crystal Palace<\/a>, but managed just 23 minutes as a substitute in the defeat.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman then played 78 minutes of the Red Devils’ Carabao Cup win over Luton Town, before coming on late in the game against Brighton & Hove Albion.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a result, his agent Sjaak Swart has criticised Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, claiming his side “should have lost 7-1” against the Seagulls.<\/p>\n

What Was Said<\/h3>\n

Speaking to Dutch outlet\u00a0VoetbalPrimeur<\/a>, former Ajax player Swart said: “A substitute; I don’t like it at all. I couldn’t do it, coming on with four minutes left. You’d have to leave me on the bench.<\/p>\n

“But, I have to say, he still did three good things. And the penalty, where the winning goal came from, came from him. He did well in those couple of minutes.<\/p>\n

“But normally they should have lost 7-1. Brighton hit the post and the bar five times. They (Brighton) have a nice team, but that shouldn’t happen to Manchester United.”<\/p>\n

Despite his lack of game time, the Netherlands international has scored and helped to win the penalty against Brighton that ultimately won the game for Manchester United.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old could play a part in tonight’s Carabao Cup clash against the Seagulls. As a result, the Dutchman will be hoping to put a string of successful appearances together.<\/p>\n
