The 22-year-old has been a long-term target<\/a> of Mikel Arteta<\/a>‘s Arsenal<\/a>, who were struggling to strike a deal with the Ligue 1<\/a> side. However, interest from the Italian champions may dismantle the Gunners’ hopes of securing Aouar’s signature.<\/p>\n

Aouar played a key role in Lyon’s Champions League<\/a> campaign, in which the club finished as semi-finalists<\/a>. His consistent and classy performances both in Europe and domestically earned the 22-year-old deserved recognition.
