Leeds United<\/a> are close to agreeing a deal to sign Michael Cuisance<\/a> from Bayern Munich<\/a>. The German champions gave Cuisance permission to leave the club to fulfil his aim of getting regular first-team games, according to Christian Falk<\/a>. Though Leeds are yet to agree a fee, they are one step closer to recruiting another young, exciting player.<\/p>\n

Leeds Edge Closer to Michael Cuisance Deal<\/h2>\n

Who is Michael Cuisance?<\/h3>\n

Cuisance is a French midfielder, who plays an attacking, creative role. He featured in ten Bundesliga fixtures for Bayern Munich throughout their hugely impressive treble-winning campaign. He also has previous experience of Bundesliga football with his former club, Borussia Monchengladbach. The midfielder played 35 times for the club before the age of 20, winning his former side’s player of the year in 2017\/18.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich pulled the trigger to sign Cuisance last summer for a \u00a310 million fee. However, he found himself on the outskirts of the side, behind the likes of Thiago<\/a> and Thomas Muller<\/a>. As a result, Leeds feel they have a chance of landing the player this summer.<\/p>\n

Cuisance’s playing style is likened to Leeds’ talisman, Pablo Hernandez<\/a>. He takes over one dribble per game and is often the creative hub of the side, averaging almost one key pass per 90 at such a young age. Under the tutelage of Marcelo Bielsa, Cuisance has the potential to skyrocket these statistics.<\/p>\n

Heading to Leeds?<\/h3>\n

The latest development in this transfer saga comes from the Bayern Munich end. According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, the German champions are willing to allow Cuisance to leave. He claims that the transfer fee discussions are ongoing, though nothing is agreed upon yet.<\/p>\n

Leeds are willing to pay around \u00a315 million for Cuisance; however, Bayern are seeking a \u00a320million fee for his services. The transfer window closes on the 5th October, so Victor Orta, Leeds’ director of football, must move quickly to secure the transfer.<\/p>\n
