Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> travel to North Macedonia to take on KF Shkendija on Thursday in their next Europa League qualifying tie. The competition will be seen by Jose Mourinho as an opportunity for Spurs to finally end their trophy drought.<\/p>\n

Dele Alli to Return<\/h3>\n

The omission of Dele Alli from the Spurs squad that beat Southampton<\/a> raised more than a few eyebrows. Rumours have circulated suggesting that the Englishman may be leaving<\/a> the club but Jose Mourinho has been swift to deny that. When asked if Dele Alli would be still at the club after the transfer window ends, he simply replied: “Yes.”<\/p>\n

Mourinho wants more from his player, as reported in The Guardian<\/a>: “Players have to prove on the pitch with their performances, prove how good they are in that specific moment. If he is on the pitch one minute or 90 minutes, he has to show us.”<\/p>\n

It seems likely that Alli will get his chance to perform against Shkendija.<\/p>\n

Harry Kane to Carry On<\/h3>\n

After his starring playmaker role in Tottenham\u2019s 5-2 victory<\/a> over Southampton<\/a> in the Premier League on Sunday, Harry Kane is set to continue in the starting 11. \u00a0Serge Aurier could start despite his possible departure in this transfer window. Joe Hart was due to play for Spurs in their Carabao Cup tie against Leyton Orient on Tuesday but as that game was called off<\/a>, Hart may get his chance in North Macedonia.<\/p>\n

Tanguy Ndombele is still unable to play 90 minutes but, after showing signs of positivity against Southampton, is likely to start.<\/p>\n

Prediction<\/h3>\n

Whilst a trip to North Macedonia may not be ideal, Tottenham will be looking to put on another strong performance akin to the second half at St Mary\u2019s Stadium. The game has to be finished tomorrow so Jose Mourinho will want this game won as soon as possible and avoid any injuries as Spurs\u2019 busy schedule continues.<\/p>\n
