Manchester United<\/a> have agreed personal terms with Brazil international Alex Telles<\/a>, according to Mohamed Bouhafsi<\/a>. The 27-year-old will reportedly sign a five-year deal with the Red Devils. All that’s left now for Manchester United is to agree on a fee with FC Porto.<\/p>\n

According to Bouhafsi<\/a>, the Premier League side are not the only ones interested in the full-back. Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> are also said to be keeping close tabs on the Brazilian.<\/p>\n

Alex Telles Agrees Personal Terms With Manchester United<\/h2>\n

Transfer Alternative for Reguilon<\/h3>\n

Manchester United<\/a> have set their sights on Alex Telles after failing to sign Sergio Reguilon<\/a> from Real Madrid<\/a>. The Red Devils had come close to signing the Spaniard, but Madrid’s insistence on a buy-back clause ended the interest.<\/p>\n

In Telles, Manchester United will have found an equal, if not better, left-back than the 23-year-old Spaniard. Telles is one of the best left-backs currently playing outside the top five leagues in Europe. Renowned for his crossing skills, the 27-year-old’s bombing runs and defensive abilities have been a regular sight at the Est\u00e1dio do Drag\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

The left-back position has been a major area of concern for the Red Devils. Over the years, Luke Shaw’s injury troubles had left Manchester United without a proper left-back playing in that position. If Telles arrives, he could provide cover as well as competition to Luke Shaw.<\/p>\n

The PSG situation<\/h3>\n

Paris Saint-Germain are currently in the market for a left-back following a rough start to their campaign. A six-match ban to second choice left-back Laywin Kurazawa following his involvement in the Le Classique derby brawl<\/a> had left the Parisiens a man short in that position. The situation further worsened for PSG after regular starter Juan Bernat suffered an ACL tear during their last match against FC Metz.<\/p>\n

The injury and suspension has left Thomas Tuchel with just one fit left-back, Mitchel Bakker, in the senior squad.<\/p>\n
