Chelsea\u2019s<\/a> summer transfer window has been full of action, and it is expected to get even busier before October 6th<\/sup>. The club are closing in on a deal with Rennes<\/a> goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy<\/a>, whilst West Ham\u2019s<\/a> Declan Rice<\/a> remains a target<\/a>. However, Chelsea duo Davide Zappacosta<\/a> and Tiemoue Bakayoko<\/a> could be going the other way and leaving before the window shuts, according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a><\/p>\n

Chelsea have added six players to their squad ahead of the 2020\/21 campaign. German pair, Kai Havertz<\/a> and Timo Werner<\/a> have joined from Bayer Leverkusen<\/a> and RB Leipzig<\/a> respectively. Also added to Chelsea\u2019s squad, are centre-backs Thiago Silva<\/a> and Malang Sarr<\/a>, as well as left-back Ben Chilwell<\/a> and former Ajax<\/a> winger Hakim Ziyech<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, their summer of incomings needs to be balanced with players going the other way. Although it has been quiet on their rumoured departures, Chelsea will want potential buyers to act sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Duo Linked with Possible Exits<\/h2>\n

Chelsea Duo Wanted in Europe<\/h3>\n

Full-back Davide Zappacosta spent the majority of last season on-loan at Roma<\/a>. However, he spent most of his time recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture. Chelsea have considered off-loading Zappacosta permanently, but according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>, Genoa<\/a> are keen to take the Italian on-loan.<\/p>\n

Holding midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko<\/a> has also been subject to interest in Italy. Fabrizio Romano reported<\/a> that AC Milan<\/a> are particularly interested. But, they may face competition from Monaco<\/a>, the team he has spent the last two seasons playing for.<\/p>\n

As Chelsea head in a new direction under Frank Lampard<\/a>\u2019s leadership, it seems that the pair will be shipped off this summer.<\/p>\n

Will Departure of Bakayoko Accelerate Rice Signing?<\/h3>\n

Chelsea have reportedly<\/a> shown an interest in West Ham\u2019s Declan Rice. It remains unseen whether the Blues are waiting for Bakayoko to leave, before pursuing the 21-year-old.<\/p>\n

Despite Chelsea hoping to land a deal with Rice, West Ham have stated that he is not for sale. Therefore, discussions and negotiations for the holding midfielder will be more difficult than most deals to complete this window.<\/p>\n
