Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> are continuing their pursuit of bringing in a striker before the transfer window shuts. According to Alasdair Gold of football.london<\/a>, Spurs have numerous avenues to explore in regard to bringing in a striker, with Southampton<\/a> forward Danny Ings now reportedly among them. Jose Mourinho also stated last week that he and the board were confident of landing a striker<\/a> before October 6th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

It seems that Spurs would prefer to bring in a forward on-loan, with an opportunity to make the deal permanent. However, the club are not even close to bringing in a striker and are likely to need all the time left this window.<\/p>\n

Danny Ings Among Striker Options for Tottenham Hotspur<\/h2>\n

Spurs Have Drawn up Wish-List<\/h3>\n

The club\u2019s attempt to bring in support for Harry Kane<\/a> has not yet been successful. Spurs are seeking an attacker for the long-term but also one that lies within their financial parameters. Tottenham\u2019s insistence of a loan to buy transfer would certainly benefit them, but this type of deal is tough to negotiate with the selling club.<\/p>\n

Metz<\/a> front-man Habib Diallo<\/a> is a player that ticks all boxes for Jose Mourinho and is believed to be keen to join Spurs<\/a>. Elsewhere, Benfica<\/a> striker Carlos Vinicius<\/a> and Torino\u2019s<\/a> Andrea Belotti<\/a> have been targeted the Lilywhites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Napoli<\/a> forward Arkadiusz Milik<\/a> has also been heavily linked with the clu<\/a>b. The Polish forward only has nine months left on his contract and, after scoring 14 goals in Serie A last season, is a wanted man. However, the two clubs have faced difficulties in moving forward with the transfer.<\/p>\n

Milik\u2019s wage demands are an issue from a Spurs perspective, whereas Napoli are concerned about Milik\u2019s playing time with Harry Kane being a dominant figure at the club.<\/p>\n

Tottenham\u2019s Search in England<\/h3>\n

Spurs have also been considering home-grown strikers in order to avoid issues with foreign player limits. Callum Wilson<\/a> was considered before his \u00a320 million move<\/a> to Newcastle United<\/a>. However, Spurs were unwilling to pay that fee for a slightly older player. Tottenham were also interested in Ollie Watkins<\/a>, but could not justify spending \u00a333 million for the player who impressed in England\u2019s second tier<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is now believed that Spurs are considering making a move for Southampton<\/a> striker Danny Ings<\/a>. The Englishman finished the 2019\/20 campaign as the runner-up to the golden boot, finishing the season with 22 goals.<\/p>\n

Spurs have a strong long-held interest in Ings but believe he would come with a hefty price tag. Tottenham will also face the problem that Ings would want regular game-time, which is something that they probably cannot offer.<\/p>\n
