Throughout this transfer window N\u2019Golo Kant\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge. The 29-year-old suffered a series of injuries that kept him out of Frank Lampard<\/a>\u2019s squad last season. But he is now looking ready to go ahead of Chelsea\u2019s opener at Brighton<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to the Guardian<\/a>, the Blues have rejected a bid from Inter Milan<\/a>, which included Croatia international Marcelo Brozovi\u0107 <\/a>in exchange. Former Chelsea manager, but now Inter boss Antonio Conte<\/a>, reportedly outlined his desire to sign the Frenchman. However, Frank Lampard told BBC 5 Live Sport<\/a> that he “wants to keep N’Golo Kant\u00e9.”<\/p>\n

Injury-Plagued 2019\/20 Campaign for N\u2019Golo Kant\u00e9<\/h3>\n

Last season was a disappointing campaign for Kant\u00e9. The 29-year-old came to pre-season with an injury and was seemingly rushed into action. The Frenchman only started four of Chelsea\u2019s first 11 matches, before settling in and playing the next ten.<\/p>\n

A recurrence of the knee injury that kept him out of the early stages of the season, happened again in February and he was out of action when the season was put on hold.<\/p>\n

The Covid-19 enforced break proved to be beneficial for the Frenchman. Kant\u00e9\u00a0played in the first games back, as his Chelsea side handed Liverpool<\/a> the premier league with a 2-1 victory over title competitors Manchester City<\/a>. However, his rollercoaster of a season did not stop there. A hamstring injury late in a game against Watford<\/a>\u00a0ruled Kant\u00e9 out for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

With all of the attacking talent Chelsea have added to their squad ahead of the 2020\/21 campaign, the defensive minded nature and incredible ability that Kant\u00e9\u00a0possesses could be vital for the Blues.<\/p>\n

Speaking to BBC 5 Live Spor<\/a>t, Frank Lampard was very complimentary of the Frenchman and his impact on the team. He said: \u201cHe looks really fit and fresh at the moment. So no he\u2019s a big deal for me and of course I want to Keep N\u2019Golo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think pretty much every club in the world would want N\u2019Golo Kant\u00e9. I certainly don\u2019t want to lose him, no, he\u2019s fundamental to what I\u2019m trying to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
