Aston Villa<\/a> have made a bid to sign Werder Bremen<\/a> winger Milot Rashica<\/a> according to Fabrizio Romano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The winger has been one of the outstanding players in the Bundesliga<\/a> over the past two seasons and Villa have reportedly made their move.<\/p>\n

Dean Smith is desperate to boost his attacking options ahead of the new season and a winger has been top of his shopping list.<\/p>\n

According to Romano, Villa have made an opening bid and Rashica would like to play in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is thought the opening bid is in the region of \u20ac18 million according to German outlet Bild<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rashica Has Sparkled in the Bundesliga<\/h3>\n

Villa severely lacked creativity and goals last season, heavily relying on captain Jack Grealish<\/a> to deliver the goods. While Villa\u2019s captain did, Dean Smith is fully aware he needs goals and creativity from elsewhere.<\/p>\n

Improving Villa\u2019s attack has been the primary objective so far in this transfer window. Smith already has number one target Ollie Watkins<\/a> and now is targeting further additions.<\/p>\n

Rashica fits the bill in terms of what Aston Villa are looking for. He is creative, quick, has quality on the ball and can score goals. At 24, his best years are ahead of him and Villa are pushing hard for the Kosovo international.<\/p>\n

He has been terrific in the Bundesliga over the last two seasons, being involved in 25 goals across 46 starts for Werder Bremen. It is noted RB Leipzig<\/a> were interested in the winger but according to Romano, no agreement was ever reached between the two clubs.<\/p>\n

Rashica would certainly be seen as a real coup if Villa can pull this deal off. He is exactly the kind of player Villa cried out for last season. His arrival would certainly ease the pressure on Jack Grealish.<\/p>\n

With Villa not starting their Premier League campaign until the 21st<\/sup> of September, Dean Smith has more time to strengthen ahead of their opening game against Sheffield United<\/a>.<\/p>\n
