Bournemouth<\/a> forward Joshua King<\/a> is attracting interest from Aston Villa<\/a> as they look to increase their attacking options, however, the Norwegian still hopes for a return to former club Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

King Still Hopeful Of Manchester United Move<\/h3>\n

According to The Athletic<\/a>, Villa are interested in signing King, however, the 28-year-old may not see Dean Smith’s side as his number one choice.<\/p>\n

King has recently changed his agent in a bid to get an immediate move back to the top-flight; with Manchester United as his dream move. The Norwegian forward was close to re-signing for the Manchester giants in January before the deal fell apart.<\/p>\n

However, with Odion Ighalo<\/a> performing well as a back-up striker for United, a move to Villa Park looks more likely.<\/p>\n

The Telegraph’s John Percy reported earlier this week that the midlands club are set to bid \u00a316 million<\/a> for the forward.<\/p>\n

King Could Add Cutting Edge To Blunt Villa Attack<\/h3>\n

Villa hope that the forward, who suffered relegation with the Cherries last term,\u00a0 can provide competition for new signing Ollie Watkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Watkins arrived earlier this week for a fee of \u00a328 million from Brentford<\/a>. Despite the hefty price tag, Villa don’t look like they’re slowing down in their hunt for signings.<\/p>\n

Should they sign King, it would put their spending for the summer at almost \u00a360 million. Matty Cash<\/a> was their other summer transfer, joining from Nottingham Forest for \u00a314 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his 161 Premier League appearances, King has scored 48 goals and provided a further 14 assists for Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old would add much needed firepower to a Villa attack that had a terrible return last season.<\/p>\n

Wesley, Keinan Davis<\/a>, and Mbwana Samatta<\/a> scored just six goals between them last campaign. This lack of goals saw Villa only secure their Premier League status on the final day of the season.<\/p>\n
