The Swiss international stormed off the pitch and gestured to fans at the Emirates.

Aubameyang was named as the next Gunners captain and he has since displayed exceptional professionalism in the role.

The 31-year-old excelled when Arteta’s arrival in December 2019. He scored six goals in his first seven under Arteta and contributed to 20 goals in 23 appearances since the Spaniard’s arrival.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new three-year contract at Arsenal.
