Newly-promoted premier league side Leeds United<\/a> are attempting to sign German international Julian Draxler<\/a> according to Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sports.<\/a>\u00a0The Paris Saint-Germain<\/a> man only has 12 months left on his contract.<\/p>\n

However, Draxler is reportedly content at PSG and has no intentions of leaving the club. The Whites have recruited well during this summer and the acquisition of Draxler would be the cherry on top of the cake.<\/p>\n

The report claims that Draxler will only be tempted if the project really appeals to him. But, the German international is already thought to have rejected a number of Bundesliga clubs<\/a> thus far.<\/p>\n

Julian Draxler\u2019s time at PSG has been overshadowed by the development and progression of some world-class talent. Under the leadership of Thomas Tuchel, Draxler has not been given much time to impress. With the likes of Kylian Mbappe<\/a>, Neymar<\/a> and Angel Di Maria<\/a> displaying their talent on a regular basis, Draxler did not receive much of an opportunity last season.<\/p>\n

Draxler appeared 22 times for French giants last term, but the majority of those games were from the bench. It has been a difficult time for the German and, at 26-years-old, he is reaching his prime. If he wants to continue making the Germany squad, he needs to find a club that will offer guaranteed game-time.<\/p>\n

Nothing Wrong with a Bit of Ambition<\/h3>\n

Although the signing of Draxler seems overly audacious, it would be foolish to rule it out. Leeds United are a highly ambitious club and will be looking to establish themselves in the top half of the Premier League table over the next couple of seasons.<\/p>\n

However, the signing of Rodrigo<\/a> and Robin Koch<\/a> signifies that Leeds can attract European talent. The Whites are building something exciting at Elland Road and Marcelo Bielsa will keep pursuing his transfer targets in the continuous progression of Leeds United.<\/p>\n
