Sheffield United<\/a>, Crystal Palace<\/a> and Aston Villa<\/a> will compete to sign Liverpool\u2019s<\/a> Rhian Brewster<\/a>, according to Mike McGrath of the Telegraph<\/a>. The news emerges as the three clubs mentioned believe the England U21 international will be allowed to leave.<\/p>\n

The forward has been subject to a great deal of Premier League speculation this summer and a handful of clubs are willing to take a chance on the World Cup Winner. With Jurgen Klopp keen on bringing in an already-proven striker, Brewster\u2019s time at Liverpool<\/a> could be drawing to a close.<\/p>\n

Productive Spell in Wales for Rhian Brewster<\/h3>\n

Brewster enjoyed a successful spell with Championship outfit Swansea City<\/a> in the second half of last season. The 20-year-old managed to hit double figures for the Swans, averaging a goal every two games.<\/p>\n

The London-born forward also had a big part to play in Swansea\u2019s dramatic playoff push. Brewster scored the opener in Swansea\u2019s emphatic 4-1 victory over Reading, which ultimately knocked Nottingham Forest out of the play-offs<\/a> in heart-breaking fashion.<\/p>\n

After Brewster returned to Liverpool, the Swans were keen to get the 20-year-old back, ahead of the 2020\/21 campaign. However, with the forward being part of Liverpool\u2019s pre-season plans, the Reds opted to keep Brewster.<\/p>\n

Newcastle May Withdraw Their Interest<\/h3>\n

Newcastle United\u00a0<\/a>are another side who have been monitoring the striker\u2019s progress this transfer window. However, the \u00a320 million signing<\/a> of forward Callum Wilson<\/a>, may end the Magpies interest.<\/p>\n

However, Newcastle have found themselves in a \u2018striker crisis\u2019 during pre-season. With Dwight Gayle<\/a> injured and Joelinton missing, the signing of Wilson was more of a necessity than a luxury. In the desperate situation that Newcastle find themselves in terms of their attacking options, the addition of Brewster may be welcomed with open arms.<\/p>\n
