RB Leipzig<\/a> are preparing for life now that Timo Werner<\/a> is gone by lining up a \u00a317 million move, plus \u00a33 million in add ons, for Crystal Palace<\/a> forward Alexander S\u00f8rloth, <\/a>according to Jan Aage Fjortoft.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fjortoft<\/a> also stated, however, that Crystal Palace want as much as \u00a320 million, plus \u00a36 million in add ons, for the forward this summer.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian did not impressed in South London, but went onto thrive on loan at Trabzonspor. He scored 33 goals in 49 appearances during his spell in Turkey and caught the eye of Julian Nagelsmann.<\/p>\n

REPORT: RB Leipzig Ready to Make Alexander S\u00f8rloth Move<\/h2>\n

Disappointing Spell in England<\/h3>\n

Alexander S\u00f8rloth joined Crystal Palace in January 2018 for a \u00a39 million fee from FC Midtjylland. Roy Hodgson needed firepower with Christian Benteke<\/a> struggling for form. The Norwegian never had the desired impact for Palace, however. He failed to find the net in the Premier League and loan moves beckoned.<\/p>\n

First up, S\u00f8rloth\u00a0moved to Belgium where he lined up for KAA Gent. Yet again, he disappointed, striking just five times in 22 appearances.<\/p>\n

Finding Form in Turkey<\/h3>\n

It was a loan move in Turkey where the 24-year old made his name. Trabzonspor took a chance on S\u00f8rloth\u00a0and it paid dividends. He notched 24 times in 34 League appearances as his side finished second in the Turkish Super Lig.<\/p>\n

S\u00f8rloth\u00a0shone in the Turkish Cup, too. He scored seven in the competition, including one in the final as Trabzonspor beat Alanyaspor 2-0 to triumph.<\/p>\n

The tall striker earned plaudits in Turkey for his deadly goalscoring ability. It came as a shock to many when clubs across Europe expressed an interest in a player who struggled so much for Palace.<\/p>\n

A Move to Leipzig For S\u00f8rloth?<\/h3>\n

S\u00f8rloth’s fantastic form may be rewarded with a move to a Champions League<\/a> club. According to Norwegian journalist and former player, Jan Aage Fjortoft, RB Leipzig want to sign S\u00f8rloth.<\/a> Timo Werner<\/a> left for Chelsea<\/a> this summer and Patrik Schick<\/a> seems likely<\/a> to move to Bayer Leverkusen, leaving Leipzig without many striking options.<\/p>\n
