Having already confirmed four major signings this summer, Chelsea<\/a> and manager Frank Lampard are close<\/a> to finally completing the big one. That is, of course, Kai Havertz<\/a>, and according to The Guardian<\/a>, Chelsea could complete the move by the end of the week.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Could Complete Kai Havertz Deal Soon<\/h2>\n

As soon as he seals his move, Havertz will become the most expensive signing from his country, surpassing the \u00a355m Bayern Munich forked out on Leroy San\u00e9\u00a0<\/a>earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

Leverkusen will reportedly receive an initial fee of around \u00a380 million, which could rise to \u00a3100 million based on performance-based add-ons. With this price comes lots of expectations for Havertz to fit in very nicely at his new club.<\/p>\n

However, Lampard will certainly not rush him as a move to a foreign country at such a young age isn’t always easy. Much like he did with Christian Pulisic<\/a> last season, the Blues boss will look to integrate him into the team.<\/p>\n

Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia has done her bit; now it’s time for Havertz to do his.<\/p>\n

Another Young Star for Lampard’s Revolution<\/h3>\n

This summer, we have seen two established Chelsea players of the past leave in Willian<\/a> and Pedro.<\/a> The two ageing wingers were not going to be starters this season, far from it, and they are simply not needed at Stamford Bridge anymore.<\/p>\n

Havertz joins an attack that has just gained Timo Werner<\/a> and Hakim Ziyech<\/a>, and one that already has Pulisic, Tammy Abraham<\/a>, Mason Mount<\/a>, and Callum Hudson-Odoi.<\/a> All of these players, except for Ziyech (27), are 24 and under, which goes to show just how bright of a future Chelsea have ahead of them.<\/p>\n

The midfield, which Havertz will also be a part of, also contains young gems such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek<\/a> and Billy Gilmour<\/a>, as well as experienced regulars Mateo Kova\u010di\u0107\u00a0<\/a>and N’Golo Kant\u00e9.<\/a><\/p>\n

The defence and goalkeeping positions are where the biggest problem lies, but the Blues have just signed Ben Chilwell<\/a> and Thiago Silva<\/a>, as well as Malang Sarr<\/a> (who will go out on loan next season. They have also picked up Xavier Mbuyamba on a free, but he will join the academy squad for now.<\/p>\n

Replacing Kepa Arrizabalaga<\/a>\u00a0is still an area of concern, one which Lampard will look to rectify, but regardless, Lampard’s youth revolution is gathering steam. As he improves as a manager, his players will improve as well, and when they are all in their prime it will be a scary time indeed.<\/p>\n

For now, though, Havertz seems to be arriving imminently, and he could be a Chelsea player by the end of the week.<\/p>\n
