Coventry City have confirmed the signing of Tyler Walker, who joins the club on an undisclosed fee from Nottingham Forest.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Sky Blues.<\/p>\n
A move to Coventry offers Walker the chance to prove himself in the Championship on a regular basis.<\/p>\n
Walker failed to nail down a regular starting spot during his time with Nottingham Fores, making just 45 appearances since his debut in 2015. Instead, he spent much of his time out on loan. The 23-year-old enjoyed six separate spells out on loan during his time with the Reds.<\/p>\n
It was his last two that saw him become recognised as a prolific striker. The 2018\/19 season saw him join Mansfield Town on a season-long loan, and he scored 26 goals in 52 appearances for the Stags.<\/p>\n
He then made the step up to League One last season, joining Lincoln City. Walker initially joined the Imps on a season-long loan; however, after a first half of the season that saw him net 16 goals in 34 appearances, Walker returned<\/a> to the City Ground in January.<\/p>\n Speaking about his new signing, Coventry boss Mark Robins praised Walker’s exceptional goalscoring record.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to announce the signing of Tyler,” he said to the official Coventry City website.<\/a><\/p>\n “He is a terrific talent, who we have been interested in for the last couple of years.<\/p>\n “As his goalscoring record shows, he\u2019s a striker with great ability who really tests and stretches defences and is a fantastic signing for the Club.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re really pleased to get this significant transfer completed, and are looking forward to working with him.\u201d<\/p>\n He is the fifth player to join Coventry this summer, as Robins looks to build a squad capable of competing in the Championship.<\/p>\n Main PhotoWhat Was Said?<\/h3>\n
