West Bromwich Albion<\/a> have agreed fees with both Birmingham City<\/a> and Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> for winger Jonathan Leko, reports John Percy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fee agreed is in the region of \u00a31 million as both Birmingham and Sheffield Wednesday aim to boost their attack.<\/p>\n

The winger\u2019s departure will add further funds to West Brom\u2019s transfer kitty. The Baggies are working on a smaller transfer budget so an extra funds are a significant boost.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Leko Expected to Leave The Hawthorns<\/h2>\n

Birmingham City and Sheffield Wednesday Chasing the Winger<\/h3>\n

Leko has struggled to establish himself at West Brom, spending much of his career out on loan. The winger is no stranger to the Championship<\/a> having spent last season at Charlton Athletic<\/a>, where he made a good impression and showcased his abilities.<\/p>\n

Birmingham are looking to mount a promotion bid under new manager Aitor Karanka. The Blues hierarchy are looking to back the Spaniard in the transfer market following Jude Bellingham\u2019s big money move<\/a> to Borussia Dortmund<\/a>. Karanka is renowned for playing with width and Leko will fit Birmingham\u2019s system.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday are hunting attacking reinforcements following the departures of several players, including Steven Fletcher<\/a>, Fernando Forestieri and Jacob Murphy. Wednesday are in a tough spot, starting the campaign on -12 points. Garry Monk is essentially rebuilding their attack after losing pretty much all his attacking players.<\/p>\n

A Tough Choice Ahead for Jonathan Leko<\/h3>\n

The young winger clearly has a decision to make. A move to either club would suit his style of play. Birmingham may appeal because they are hoping to make themselves promotion contenders. In addition, it also allow Leko to remain with his family and settling in should be easier.<\/p>\n

However, a move to Sheffield Wednesday will also appeal with Garry Monk wanting his side to play attractive, attacking football.<\/p>\n

A tough choice lies ahead for the talented winger.<\/p>\n
