It is set to be a busy transfer period on the blue half of Merseyside as Everton<\/a> try to build upon a bang-average campaign.<\/p>\n

With Everton back in training, Carlo Ancelotti<\/a> will look to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2020\/21 Premier League campaign. The Italian boss has made it clear that a central midfielder is on top of his priority list. But in an attempt to make the top six, according to Gianluca Di Marzio<\/a>, the Toffees are after a number of players this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Everton Set Their Sights on Three Players<\/h2>\n

Carlo Ancelotti<\/a> Wants Allan<\/h3>\n

Napoli\u2019s Allan<\/a> emerged as Everton\u2019s prime target after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joined Tottenham<\/a> last week. Allan is a player Ancelotti knows well through his time at Napoli and is eager to finalise this deal swiftly.<\/p>\n

Fabrizio Romano<\/a> confirmed the two sides were in talks and will be working out a fee in the coming days.<\/p>\n

Watford\u2019s Doucoure is Another Target<\/h3>\n

It will be a real surprise to see Abdoulaye Doucoure<\/a> playing Championship football next season. The Frenchman has been instrumental in Watford\u2019s<\/a> recent Premier League campaigns and deserves the recognition he has received from clubs like Everton.<\/p>\n

The Toffees are looking to revisit their transfer target from last season when Watford rejected a \u00a330 million bid. However, it seems unlikely that the Hornets will be able to keep hold of Doucoure this time around.<\/p>\n

From an Everton perspective, Doucoure adds an extra dimension to the midfield with his pace and power. His willingness to get forward and create goal-scoring opportunities is more than matched by his impressive defensive capabilities.<\/p>\n

Everton Interested in Roma\u2019s Aleesandro Florenzi<\/h3>\n

It appears that Roma\u2019s Alessandro Florenzi<\/a> is wanted by a number of clubs in Europe. Everton are the latest club to have shown an interest in the Italian, who seems to have no future with Roma.<\/p>\n

Florenzi who plays primarily as a right-back, but can also operate in central midfield. With limited options in both positions, Florenzi might just be what Everton need right now.<\/p>\n
