Tottenham Hotpsur<\/a> have confirmed that they have signed goalkeeper Joe Hart on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n

The former England international makes the move to North London after leaving Burnley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Added Experience<\/h3>\n

The 33-year-old will provide a wealth of experience to the current cohort of ‘keepers in the Tottenham squad.<\/p>\n

Hart, while he is not likely to play consistently, will provide invaluable experience to the younger goalkeepers such as Alfie Whiteman.<\/p>\n

While he only made three appearances for Burnley last season, all of which came in the cup competitions, he played a similar role for the Clarets.<\/p>\n

As a result, while his career has suffered a turn since leaving Manchester City in 2016, there is more to this signing than what the eye can see.<\/p>\n

What Was Said?<\/h3>\n

Speaking about his move to the Tottenham website,<\/a> Hart said: “I’m here to help the team in anyway I can, be it on the field or off the field. I’m here to try and help push the club forward.”<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old spoke about how he has coped with the last few years of his career. He stressed that it has not been easy.<\/p>\n

“There is no getting way for it, a difficult couple of years for me personally on the football field. But, I feel like I’ve got so much to give, I feel like I’ve got a lot of quality, obviously I’ve got a lot in the bank.<\/p>\n

“I’m here to work as a team player. I’m a team player, always have been and always will be, whether my name is on the teamsheet or not, it’s a squad effort.<\/p>\n

“I know what it takes to win titles, I know what it takes to change a club’s dynamic for the better.”<\/p>\n

Hart is the second player to join Tottenham this summer, following the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n
