Following just 11 appearances last season, Oliver Skipp<\/a> is set to join Norwich City<\/a> on loan in search of regular first-team action. According to Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard,<\/a> the Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> youngster also had interest from Wolfsburg<\/a>, Fulham<\/a>, Huddersfield<\/a> and Reading, but has chosen to join Norwich for the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the Canaries look for an instant bounce back to the Premier League,<\/a> too, Oliver Skipp may play a crucial role this season. The young midfielder has shown signs of his potential for Spurs in the past and should be an important player for Norwich.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Key Moment for Skipp and His Career<\/h3>\n

While Skipp did receive some game time under Jose Mourinho, to develop, he needs to be playing week in week out. The move to Norwich, if reports are to be believed, will only elevate Skipp and speed his development.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At Spurs, he was competing with the likes of Moussa Sissoko,<\/a> Giovanni Lo Celso<\/a>, and Harry Winks<\/a> in midfield. Now at Norwich, he should be able to slot straight into a starting place. The hope from a Spurs point of view will be that, by the end of the season, Skipp is developed enough to become a regular under Mourinho.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Good Deal for Norwich City<\/h3>\n

Since failing to avoid the dropzone, Norwich have been lucky enough to keep a hold of key players. Emi Buendia,<\/a> a player many thought would leave, can still be seen wearing the Norwich colours. Teemu Pukki<\/a>, too, the Canaries’ top scorer last season, also looks set to stay put.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And with players seemingly staying put alongside the arrival of Skipp, Norwich will fancy their chances in the Championship<\/a> this season. Winning the title is the dream, but they’ll undoubtedly settle for a playoff plays should it come to that.<\/span><\/p>\n
