He becomes the Imps&#8217; seventh signing of the summer and the second to join from the Milton Keynes side after Conor McGrandles&#8217; arrival. The club have not disclosed how long Walsh&#8217;s contract is.<\/p>\n<h2>Lincoln City Sign Joe Walsh After MK Dons Exit<\/h2>\n<h3>Walsh&#8217;s Career<\/h3>\n<p>The Cardiff-born centre-back started his career with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonfootball.com\/clubs\/swansea-city\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Swansea City\u00a0<\/a>but only made two appearances, both in the League Cup, before leaving to join then-League One side Crawley Town.<\/p>\n<p>He spent three seasons at Crawley, winning the club&#8217;s Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards in 2013\/14 and becoming captain prior to the start of the 2014\/15 season.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being the captain, he was allowed to join MK Dons on loan midway through that campaign, making two league appearances in total and mainly covering at left-back rather than in his usual centre-back role.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, he did enough to convince MK Dons to land him on a free transfer that summer as they bolstered their squad for Championship football.<\/p>\n<p>In five full seasons with the Dons, Walsh played in all three divisions of the EFL, although he only appeared ten times in the 2017\/18 season &#8211; the one which saw them drop into League Two.<\/p>\n<p>He scored twice in 30 games as they won promotion back to League One in 2018\/19 and played 24 times last season as they retained their third-tier status.<\/p>\n<h3>What Was Said?<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking to the club website about his arrival at the Imps, Walsh said: \u201cI\u2019m delighted now that it\u2019s all done, and I can\u2019t wait to get going and start training. I\u2019ve spoke to the gaffer a few times and he\u2019s sold the club to me.
