Burton Albion have confirmed that they have signed striker Kane Hemmings on a two-year deal.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old, who has plenty of EFL experience, is making the move back down south after spending last season with Scottish club Dundee.<\/p>\n
Last season was his second spell with the Scottish Championship side, having previously featured for them in the 2015\/16 season. He made 78 appearances across his two spells with the club, scoring 38 times.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old has also experienced the EFL with Barnsley, Oxford United<\/a>, Mansfield Town and Notts County.<\/p>\n It was with the latter three where he was perhaps most successful. In his single season with Oxford he registered 15 goals in 54 appearances. A loan spell with Mansfield followed, and he continued to impress, scoring 15 goals once more.<\/p>\n While he could not save Notts County from relegation in the 2018\/19, he scored 14 goals in 37 appearances. As a result of his form, it earned him a return to Dundee.<\/p>\n Speaking about his move to the Pirelli Stadium to the official Burton Albion website,<\/a> Hemmings said: “It\u2019s been a long time coming and I\u2019m buzzing to be signing.”<\/p>\n The striker, who was born in Burton-upon-Trent, spoke about the relationship that he has held with the club since he was a child.<\/p>\n “I\u2019ve always had an affinity with the club and used to come and watch the games at both Pirelli Stadium and Eton Park when I was younger with my mates,” he said.<\/p>\n “I\u2019ve pushed a number of times to get moves to the club and I\u2019m delighted that this time I\u2019ve been able to sort something and get it done.<\/p>\n “The manager said to me to come in, give it my all and that he\u2019ll look after me.<\/p>\n “He\u2019s got a good team and he wants people to come in and work hard, which I\u2019ll one hundred percent do.<\/p>\n “It\u2019s my hometown club and I want to do well, so I can\u2019t wait to get started!\u201d<\/p>\n Main PhotoWhat Was Said?<\/h3>\n
