Doncaster Rovers<\/a> may be on the lookout for a goalkeeper or two this summer.<\/p>\n

Queens Park Rangers<\/a> keeper\u00a0Seny Dieng<\/a> spent last season on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium but has now returned to his parent club, unlikely to spend another spell in Doncaster.<\/p>\n

25-year-old shot stopper Ian Lawlor<\/a> has also left, joining Oldham Athletic<\/a> on a year long loan.<\/p>\n

This leaves the North-English side with\u00a0youngster Louis Jones<\/a>, 21, as their only goalkeeping option.<\/p>\n

Why Doncaster Rovers Should Make a Move for Matej Kovar<\/h2>\n

Goalkeeping Options Needed<\/h3>\n

With just one goalkeeper in the side for the upcoming season, Doncaster will look to bolster their options between the sticks this summer.<\/p>\n

Though Jones is seen as a hot prospect, Rovers boss Darren Moore will have to add some competition at the very least.<\/p>\n

Moore is on record\u00a0saying<\/a>\u00a0that he would look to bring a loan signing in to provide competition for Lawlor and Jones – before Lawlor departed. Now he may need two goalkeepers.<\/p>\n

United Impressed by Rovers’ Loans<\/h3>\n

Perhaps Manchester United<\/a> goalkeeper Matej Kovar<\/a>, 20, would be perfect to fill the void left by Dieng.<\/p>\n

It was recently reported that United\u2019s coaching staff are impressed<\/a> by the way Doncaster Rovers treat the players they bring in on loan and the progress those players make throughout their spell at the Keepmoat, as well as the game time on offer.<\/p>\n

This came about from Rovers’ reported interest in James Garner<\/a>, Kovar’s teammate, however even those at the League One<\/a> club are said to expect<\/a> United to send the midfielder to a Championship<\/a> club for the 2020\/21 season.<\/p>\n

Doncaster Should Take Advantage<\/h3>\n

The fondness shown from United though could be a hint at future business between the two clubs in the loan market.<\/p>\n

Doncaster Rovers could, and should, take advantage of this – with the talent that could become available to them at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils are keen<\/a> to get their promising Czech Republic<\/a> keeper Matej Kovar out on loan for the forthcoming campaign.<\/p>\n

Suitable Style of Play<\/h3>\n

Under-23s boss Neil Wood has previously stated<\/a> that Kovar will need to join a club that plays out from the back so he can use his feet to best effect.<\/p>\n

This is something that is required of most goalkeepers nowadays and something Wood clearly believes is a strength for Kovar.<\/p>\n

Darren Moore has implemented the desired playstyle in his time at Doncaster Rovers and could offer the goalkeeper a healthy amount of senior football.<\/p>\n

It makes so much sense for Doncaster to make a move for Kovar that it surely has to be considered.<\/p>\n
