Leeds United<\/a> are prepared to make a bid for Brentford winger Said Benrahma, <\/a>according to Mike McGrath of the Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s believed that the 24-year-old is valued at around \u00a325 million. Leicester City<\/a>, West Ham United<\/a>, Aston Villa<\/a> and Crystal Palace<\/a> are also rumoured to be interested in the Algerian International.<\/p>\n

Leeds Set to Rebuild for Premier League<\/h3>\n

Leeds United are back in the Premier League<\/a> for the first time in 16 years. They won the Championship, <\/a>finishing ten points clear of West Bromwich Albion <\/a>and 12 points above Said Benrahma’s side, Brentford.<\/p>\n

The West Yorkshire side now look to bring in players who will help them re-establish themselves in the top flight, and Benrahma could be one of them.<\/p>\n

The Algerian was scintillating in the Championship last season, scoring 17 goals and bagging eight assists. He was also part of the ‘BMW’ trio with Ollie Watkins<\/a> and Brian Mbuemo,<\/a> which scored a combined 57 goals.<\/p>\n

Benrahma has the ability to play on the right-hand side, but he is most effective as a left-winger. Playing on the left allows him to cut inside onto his stronger, and more dangerous, right foot.<\/p>\n

The Algerian would be a real asset for Leeds, too. Under Marcelo Bielsa, they play a high-tempo and free flowing style of play, something Benrahama has been accustomed to under Thomas Frank at Brentford.<\/p>\n

He also has the ability to break down well organised defences, something Bielsa’s side struggled with at times last season, and will need to improve on in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Play-Off Defeat Huge Blow for Brentford<\/h3>\n

Brentford narrowly missed out on their first ever promotion to the Premier League<\/a> on Tuesday when they were beaten 2-1 by West London rivals Fulham<\/a> at Wembley. That loss may mean the club look set to lose their star players, including Said Benrahma, and Ollie Watkins.<\/p>\n

Though it’s rumoured that Watkins has a release clause of \u00a318 million, the Bees are believed to want nothing less than \u00a325 million for both players.<\/p>\n

With a potential salary cap introduced in the Championship, it could prove difficult to replace their attacking duo.<\/p>\n

The English season starts on September 12 and the transfer window shuts on October 5.<\/p>\n
