Former Lincoln City<\/a> midfielder Michael Bostwick<\/a> has joined fellow League One club Burton Albion.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the Brewers.<\/p>\n

Second Player to Join From the Imps<\/h3>\n

The 32-year-old midfielder is the second player to arrive at the Pirelli Stadium from Lincoln City, following in the footsteps of Neal Eardley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Eardley has also committed to a one-year contract with the Brewers. He was a mainstay at right-back last season for the Imps, making 39 appearances in all competitions.<\/p>\n

However, the Coronavirus pandemic, which has meant led to cost-cutting measures – as well as Lincoln manager Michael Appleton’s desire to create a younger squad – meant that Eardley was let go following the expiry of his contract.<\/p>\n

Unlike his team-mate, Bostwick was in and out of the Lincoln team last season, partially due to injuries. However, his versatility – the 32-year-old can play in the centre of midfield and defence – meant that he made 20 appearances for Michael Appleton’s side.<\/p>\n

What Was Said?<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the official Burton Albion website<\/a> about joining the club, Bostwick said: “I spoke to Beardo (Chris Beardsley) who I played with a few years ago at Stevenage after the season had ended. I came and met the gaffer (Jake Buxton) and it all just seemed right.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spoken to him about the plans for the future and it all seems perfect \u2013 it\u2019s a great club.<\/p>\n

\u201cBurton Albion have had a lot of success over the years and it probably has gone a little bit unnoticed to some people. The fans have always been good and got behind the team when I have come here.<\/p>\n
