Plymouth Argyle<\/a> are continuing to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to League One. The Pilgrims have signed striker Frank Nouble<\/a> on a free transfer following his exit from Colchester United.<\/p>\n

Nouble arrives as Plymouth\u2019s third summer signing as manager Ryan Lowe continues to put a competitive squad together.<\/p>\n

Nouble Arrives From Colchester United<\/h3>\n

Nouble is a well-travelled, experienced attacking player. He brings pace, power and an eye for goal. The 28-year-old began his career at Chelsea,<\/a> before moving to West Ham United<\/a> as a youngster.<\/p>\n

His time in football has seen him play for the likes of Swansea City<\/a>, Charlton Athletic, Barnsley<\/a>, Gillingham and Tianjin Songjiang. Nouble’s time at West Ham saw several loan spells and a lack of first-team opportunities. He subsequently joined Wolverhampton Wanderers<\/a> before joining Ipswich Town.<\/p>\n

His most recent club was Colchester United. Nouble left the Essex side following the expiration of his contract. Colchester were unable to offer him a new deal due to Coronavirus pandemic. However, he was a vital player in their season, scoring five times and assisting six goals in 38 games.<\/p>\n

As well as featuring for several English clubs, Nouble has also represented England at several youth levels. He will certainly be hoping to kick on at Plymouth when the new season begins.<\/p>\n

The striker brings something different to the Plymouth attack. He brings pace, skill and versatility in the forward areas. His experience will certainly help Plymouth as they look to establish themselves in League One.<\/p>\n

He is their third summer signing after Ryan Hardie<\/a> and Luke McCormick<\/a> returned to the club last week. Ryan Lowe is slowly putting a squad together ready to compete in the third tier, and will certainly be looking to add further faces before the season kicks off in September.<\/p>\n

Nouble could certainly be a game-changing signing if he recaptures the form shown at Colchester.<\/p>\n
