Neil Warnock has made his first signing as Middlesbrough manager, with Grant Hall joining the club after leaving Queens Park Rangers.<\/p>\n
Hall arrives at the Riverside Stadium with plenty of experience under his belt.<\/p>\n
Having begun his career on the South Coast with Brighton & Hove Albion<\/a>, he then joined Tottenham<\/a> in 2012.<\/p>\n However, he spent much of his career with the North London club out on loan, failing to make a senior appearance during his time there.<\/p>\n Instead, he spent much of three years out on loan, enjoying spells with Swindon Town, Blackpool and Birmingham City. However, it was only with Swindon where he was regularly in the starting 11.<\/p>\n The 28-year-old then joined QPR in the summer of 2015, following his release by Spurs.<\/p>\n After initially only signing a two-year deal, Hall remained in West London for a total of five years, making a total of 128 appearances.<\/p>\n He was virtually ever-present at the heart of defence during his first two seasons. The 28-year-old made over half of his appearance for the R’s in that time.<\/p>\n After a period out of the team, Hall then returned to the starting line-up, and was made captain by Mark Warburton. He made 30 appearances for Warburton’s side, as they finished 13th in the Championship.<\/p>\n Speaking to the official Middlesbrough website<\/a>, Warnock said: \u201cI\u2019ve known Grant for a few years now.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone knows I\u2019m looking at the spine of the team, and he\u2019s the right fit for what we need.<\/p>\n \u201cGrant is a smashing lad and I\u2019m sure the fans will really take to him.\u201d<\/p>\n Hall is likely to act as an immediate replace for Daniel Ayala, who was released by Middlesbrough earlier this summer.<\/p>\n Neil Warnock will be hoping that he can make a huge amount of progress in his first full season in charge of the club.
