Midfielder Jordan Shipley has signed a new contract at Coventry City<\/a>. Shipley has been an ever-present since breaking into the team and a new deal crowns a special season for him.<\/p>\n

The new deal continues Coventry\u2019s determination to keep their best players and build a team around them. He will certainly be playing a part as Coventry return to the Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shipley Rewarded for an Outstanding Season<\/h3>\n

Shipley is a product of the Coventry<\/a> academy and has grown from strength to strength. Since breaking into the team, he has helped Coventry to two promotions.<\/p>\n

It’s been a special season for the midfielder, who surpassed 100 games and captained Coventry for the first time. He will be an integral part to the Sky Blues’ success in the Championship next season.<\/p>\n

Shipley has made 120 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals in the process. He is a real fans favourite and tying him down shows Coventry\u2019s ambition as a club.<\/p>\n

Shipley Honoured to Sign New Deal<\/h3>\n

Speaking to the Coventry website<\/a> about his new deal, Shipley said \u201cI feel great, it\u2019s a great achievement for me again and now I\u2019m looking to kick on again next season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis club means a lot to me and everyone\u2019s heard the story, I\u2019ve been here since I was seven years old and I\u2019ve come through the ranks and finally broke into the first team and now I\u2019m established in that team and to be offered another deal, it\u2019s a great honour for me.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing up here, I know what it means to the fans to get back into the Championship and now we\u2019re here hopefully we can kick on and establish ourselves and then try and push on to bigger and better things.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings started off a little slow when I was a first-year pro but towards the end I got given a chance in the first team and then in my second year I really kicked on and I haven\u2019t looked back since and now we\u2019re in the Championship.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be testing at a higher standard and it\u2019s going to be difficult, but I\u2019m sure with the squad we\u2019ve got and the depth we have, that it\u2019s going to be a good season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be a good season and we can\u2019t wait to have you back in the crowd and cheering us all on.\u201d<\/p>\n
