Salford City<\/a> have made their fourth summer signing. The Ammies have signed defender Jordan Turnbull<\/a> following his exit from Northampton Town.<\/p>\n

Turnbull is a vastly experienced centre-back who arrives hoping to add another promotion to his CV, having helped Northampton return to League One last season.<\/p>\n

Turnbull Arrives From Northampton Town<\/h3>\n

Salford announced they had signed the defender via their website.<\/a> Turnbull arrives on a free transfer following his release from Northampton. The defender has signed a two-year deal at the Peninsula Stadium.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old is a product of the Southampton<\/a> academy. Since his exit from the Saints, he has played for Swindon Town, Coventry City and Partick Thistle, before joining Northampton in 2018.<\/p>\n

He will bring plenty of experience to a Salford side who are hoping to be in the promotion mix next season.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Jordan Turnbull Excited for a New Challenge<\/h3>\n

Speaking about his move, Turnbull said: \u201cI\u2019m very excited to be here, I\u2019m happy it\u2019s all sorted now. It\u2019s been something that\u2019s happened quite quickly but I\u2019m excited for what\u2019s to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a brilliant season last season, I managed to play a lot of games and like you say we managed to get to the play-offs and go up through playing at Wembley. Brilliant experience, my first promotion on my CV and I\u2019m looking to get many more and that\u2019s one of the big reasons for coming to this football club.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vibe around the football club at the moment is very exciting and a lot is talked about promotion. When speaking to the manager the main topic was promotion, it\u2019s what everyone wants and everyone is working towards so it\u2019s definitely one of the main reasons I want to come and play at this football club.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI look to go out there and just give everything for the team. I like to think I bring a little bit of experience even though I\u2019m quite young. I\u2019ve played a lot of games at this level last season, I got promoted, so hopefully a bit of know-how here and there and I can help the team as best I can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Graham Alexander Delighted to Bring in the Defender<\/h3>\n

Manager Graham Alexander added: \u201cWe found out about his availability after Northampton\u2019s promotion. We\u2019re looking for a certain type of profile of player to come in, and he fits all those categories.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter meeting him last week up here, he seemed really excited about possibly joining the club straight away. We saw a real desire from him to come here and vice versa with us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just come out of a promotion-winning team from this division. What we\u2019re looking at is players that are coming into the club from higher levels, or promotion winners, or captains; That\u2019s the profile we set out quite a few months ago to bring on board, and we\u2019re delighted to get Jordan\u2019s services for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
