Leeds United are hoping to try and bring Nicolas Gonzalez<\/a> to the club during the transfer window, according to Leeds Live<\/a>. However,\u00a0so are several other teams.<\/p>\n

The Daily Express<\/a> are also reporting that they are interested, with Marcelo Bielsa keen to add to his attack.<\/p>\n

Interest From Italy<\/h3>\n

A host of teams based in Italy are all eyeing a move for the striker, and it means that Leeds will have to stump up more money than the rest to convince current club Stuttgart to let him join them, instead of making the move to Serie A.<\/p>\n

Caught the Eye in Germany<\/h3>\n

The 22-year-old has caught the eye in the German second division this season for Stuttgart. In 27 games for the club so far, he has a total of 17 goal contributions, an impressive return for a forward who has only been a regular starter for the club for two seasons.<\/p>\n

In his first season in Germany, he did struggle to reach the heights that he has done this campaign. That could be largely down to the fact he was a young 20-year-old playing for a team that was, at the time, in the Bundesliga and were battling relegation.<\/p>\n

He played 30 times during that 2018\/19 season and had only five goal contributions. Before that, he plied his trade for Argentinos Juniors in his native country.<\/p>\n

Asking Price is \u00a318 Million<\/h3>\n

Now, it looks like the youngster could be on the move across Europe again. Leeds are believed to be eager to bring the striker to the club to help bolster their attack now that they are in the top tier of English football.<\/p>\n

Gonzalez wouldn’t be too expensive of a signing either. The asking price for the forward is believed to be just \u00a318 million, according to Kicker.<\/a><\/p>\n

European Competition<\/h3>\n

However, other interested teams, such as Atalanta and the two Milan<\/a> clubs, can offer the player something that Leeds can’t in terms of regular action in a European competition, whether that is in the Champions League or in the Europa League.<\/p>\n
