TSG Hoffenheim<\/a> have appointed Sebastian Hoene\u03b2 as their new manager. Hoene\u03b2 replaces Alfred Schreuder who departed the club in June. Mathias Kaltenbach oversaw the final four league games.<\/p>\n

Hoffenheim stepped up their search following the conclusion of the Bundesliga season. Following an extensive search, the club have chosen Bayern Munich<\/a> II manager Hoene\u03b2.<\/p>\n

Hoene\u03b2 Joins Hoffenheim From Bayern Munich II<\/h3>\n

Hoffenheim announced via their official Twitter account<\/a> they had appointed Hoene\u03b2. He departs Bayern Munich II for the Hoffenheim and has signed a deal until the summer of 2023.<\/p>\n

This will be Hoene\u03b2\u2019s first major managerial role, having spent most of his coaching career in the youth setup. The 38-year-old leaves Bayern Munich II after a year in the role to take over from caretaker manager Mathias Kaltenbach. His sole season in charge of Bayern Munich II saw them win the Bundesliga 3 title and collect the manager of the season award.<\/p>\n

Hoene\u03b2 has also managed RB Leipzig\u2019s youth teams, as well as the Bayern Munich U19 side.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old is no stranger to Hoffenheim, having spent two seasons as a player at the club. He made just a handful of appearances but Hoene\u03b2 will know what the club is all about.<\/p>\n

Hoene\u03b2 will take charge in the Bundesliga<\/a> for the first time when the new season starts in September. He will also guide Hoffenheim in the Europa League after they finished sixth last season. The club have huge ambition and certainly appointing Hoene\u03b2 is another sign of their belief in young managers.<\/p>\n

A Risk Worth Taking for Hoffenheim<\/h3>\n

Hoene\u03b2\u2019s appointment may be a risk due to his lack of experience at Bundesliga level. However, it is a risk worth taking with Hoffenheim proving in the past to be shrewd when it comes to appointing managers.<\/p>\n

Hoene\u03b2\u2019s arrival will excite the fans and he has title-winning pedigree as a manager. A Bundesliga 3 title is something not to be overlooked. He will bring attacking football and that will excite the fans next season.<\/p>\n

Hoene\u03b2\u2019s appointment is a risk but its one worth taking.<\/p>\n
