Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa<\/a> is subject to an eight-figure bid from Spanish side Villarreal.<\/p>\n

Championship<\/a> promotion contenders Fulham<\/a> are considering a \u20ac25m (\u00a322.5m) bid from Villarreal for Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa<\/a>, according to Sky Sports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has been on-loan with the La Liga side this season after joining Fulham from Marseille in August 2018.<\/p>\n

He joined the Whites from France for a transfer record fee of \u00a330 million.<\/p>\n

Anguissa has had a successful time while on-loan in Spain, making 36 league appearances and scoring two goals.<\/p>\n

The midfielder moved to Fulham as part of a huge spending spree in 2018.<\/p>\n

The London side eventually spent in excess of \u00a3100 million as they prepared for a return to the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He joined alongside four others on a busy deadline day at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n

He featured 25 times in the Cottagers’ relegation season but is yet to make an appearance for Fulham since.<\/p>\n

Reed Linked With Burnley Move<\/h3>\n

On-loan midfielder Harrison Reed<\/a> is a target for Premier League side Burnley, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reed is on-loan from Southampton and his impressive performances have drawn attraction from other top-flight sides.<\/p>\n

He has been a top-performer and consistent feature within Scott Parker<\/a>‘s promotion-contending side.<\/p>\n

The Verdict<\/h3>\n

It is clear that Anguissa is no longer seen as a top player in West London.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order and, as a result, was sent to Spain to gain playing time.<\/p>\n

A permanent move to Spain could be something to benefit Fulham boss Scott Parker<\/a>, Anguissa and Villarreal.<\/p>\n

If Scott Parker’s side are promoted, he will be keen to strengthen his side to remain in the top-flight; equally, if they miss out on promotion, transfers will be required in order to clear the final hurdle next year.<\/p>\n

\u00a322.5 million could, therefore, provide a vital addition to the bank balance that Parker could reinvest.<\/p>\n

Fulham’s squad should, on paper, have been contending for automatic promotion so Parker will need to scout his targets wisely.<\/p>\n

For a player who is unlikely to feature for Fulham again, it would appear naive for the Cottagers not to cash in.<\/p>\n
