The striker has signed a one-year deal at the Abbey Stadium and is Mark Bonner\u2019s first signing as Cambridge head coach.<\/p>\n<p>Mullin became an instant fans\u2019 favourite when he arrived in January. His arrival and Bonner\u2019s appointment as manager saw an upturn in performances and results. He scored two goals in his first six matches.<\/p>\n<p>Mullin is no stranger to League Two having played for the likes of Morecambe, Swindon Town and Tranmere at this level. He was part of the Tranmere side which earned promotion from the division in 2019. Mullin is a proven goal scorer and will certainly add some firepower to the Cambridge attack.<\/p>\n<h3>Mullin Happy to Be Back<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking to the Cambridge website about his return, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge-united.co.uk\/news\/2020\/july\/mullin-signs\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mullin said<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m very happy to be back after such a long period of uncertainty. I enjoyed my time on loan at the Club last season, and now I have an extended period to make more memories with Cambridge United.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the key reasons I felt that I wanted to come back to sign for the Club has been Mark (Bonner, Head Coach).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis man-management skills are excellent and how he has been able to pull the group together to push for one goal, I want to help to make that successful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI enjoyed the games I played at the Abbey Stadium and it\u2019s been a very easy decision. I\u2019ve never been one for setting myself targets goal wise but I always aim to play to the best of my ability, and I think what the last few months have shown, it\u2019s really important you enjoy what you do.
