West Ham United<\/a> and Crystal Palace<\/a> are the front runners to sign Queens Park Rangers<\/a> forward Eberechi Eze<\/a>, according to The Athletic\u2019s<\/a> David Ornstein.<\/p>\n

After beating Watford<\/a> 3-1 last Friday night, Hammers boss David Moyes was spotted<\/a> in attendance at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday afternoon to see Eze in action.<\/p>\n

The Scot is likely to have been pleased with what he saw from the 22-year-old, who bagged his side\u2019s third goal as the R’s beat Millwall 4-3.<\/p>\n

Moyes is no stranger to successful Championship<\/a> signings having bought Jarrod Bowen from Hull City in January<\/a>\u00a0but is likely to face stiff competition from Crystal Palace who also have Eze in their sights.<\/p>\n

QPR are understood to want \u00a320 million for the attacking midfielder but it is likely that they will have to accept a considerably smaller sum.<\/p>\n

A Future Premier League Star?<\/h3>\n

Having spent time in the academies of Arsenal<\/a>, Fulham<\/a>, Reading and Millwall as a teenager, Eze joined QPR as an 18-year old in 2016.<\/p>\n

Loaned out to Wycombe Wanderers for the 2017\/18 season, Eze scored five goals in 20 appearances in League Two before returning to QPR the following January for the remainder of their Championship campaign.<\/p>\n

After scoring six goals and providing three assists in his first 58 appearances for the Superhoops, Eze made his breakthrough this season.<\/p>\n

Ever-present for QPR so far this campaign, the England age group player has 13 goals and eight assists in 45 matches. He is the club’s second-highest goalscorer, behind Jordan Hugill<\/a> and Nahki Wells<\/a> on 15, and his offensive output has been crucial in securing another season of Championship football for QPR.<\/p>\n

His performances were rewarded with a call-up to Aidy Boothroyd\u2019s England U21<\/a> side last year, with the youngster also eligible to represent Nigeria at senior level.<\/p>\n
