After various reports linking Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg<\/a> with a move away from Southampton<\/a>, Ralph Hasenh\u00fcttl has stated<\/a> his desire to come up with a suitable “solution for all parties.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The Saints midfielder failed to renew his contract earlier this year and, therefore, had his captaincy taken away. Both Tottenham<\/a> and Everton<\/a> have emerged as favourites for his signature so far with Hojbjerg reportedly keen on a move to Tottenham.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Everton, too, according to Paul Joyce<\/a>, have been in heavy pursuit of the Danish international, tabling a bid of \u00a314 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Saints Search for Hojbjerg Solution\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Deal Dependent On Kyle Walker-Peters\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

With Kyle Walker-Peters<\/a> already on loan at Southampton, Spurs will reportedly attempt to use the young Englishman in a deal for Hojbjerg this summer, according to Dan Kilpatrick of the Evening Standard<\/a>. The news comes as Spurs try to bargain down from the original asking price of \u00a325 million. By using Walker-Peters in the deal, the price should drop down to a more suitable number for Spurs amid financial concerns in the coronavirus pandemic.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After starts in a draw against Manchester United and a stunning victory against Manchester City, Southampton may be keen to keep hold Walker-Peters and finally solve their right-back problems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Competition From Everton\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Spurs face stiff competition for Hojbjerg’s signature, however, with Everton submitting a bid of \u00a314 million, according to Paul Joyce. But, with the original asking price around the much higher \u00a325 million mark, Everton will have to do a lot more to bring Hojbjerg to Merseyside this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The attraction of Kyle Walker-Peters could well give Spurs the much needed upper hand over Everton, too, as they chase Hojbjerg’s signature.<\/span><\/p>\n

It certainly looks as though Spurs are best positioned of the two sides to secure the signature of the Dane this summer. Southampton will have a big decision to make in the summer as Ralph Hasenh\u00fcttl\u00a0continues to seek the ‘best solution for all parties’.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
