Leicester City<\/a> have had their top four hopes dealt a huge injury blow, as they are set to be without Ben Chilwell<\/a>, James Maddison<\/a>, and Christian Fuchs<\/a> for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the news<\/a> following their 2-0 victory over Sheffield United<\/a> on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

England internationals Chilwell (foot) and Maddison (hip) have missed the past few games for the Foxes.<\/p>\n

It had been hoped they would return to fitness in time for the end of the season crunch games; however, both are now confirmed to be absent from the last two games.<\/p>\n

Austrian international defender Christian Fuchs, meanwhile, missed out for the first time on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

He is set for three months on the sidelines with a groin problem.<\/p>\n

Fuch’s injury meant 19 year-old local lad Luke Thomas<\/a> made his Foxes debut. The teenager produced a man of the match performance as he grabbed an assist.<\/p>\n

Rodgers will already be without the services of Ricardo Pereira<\/a> and Caglar Soyuncu<\/a> for this weekend\u2019s trip to Tottenham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The former Liverpool manager is now left sweating on the fitness of Marc Albrighton<\/a>, currently another major doubt for what is a pivotal game in the race for the top four.<\/p>\n

After the trip to Spurs, Leicester host Manchester United<\/a> in what looks set to be a final day Champions League place showdown.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, James Maddison and Ben Chilwell will be the biggest misses for the Foxes.<\/p>\n

Creative midfielder, Maddison, has been influential this season, his six goals and three assists in the Premier League have helped fire the team to top-four contention.<\/p>\n

His absence puts a major dent in the club’s Champions League qualification hopes.<\/p>\n

Leicester’s victory on Thursday reignited their top-four hopes after what had been a less than convincing run of form.<\/p>\n

They sit fourth, level on points with Manchester United but ahead on goal difference.<\/p>\n
