The midfielder will turn 40 by the end of next season.<\/p>\n<p>Coppinger&#8217;s loyalty and quality on the ball is what has made him a legend at the Keepmoat Stadium. He has made over 600 appearances to date for Doncaster.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his time with the club, he has played a part in the key moments. Coppinger has helped the club earn three promotions during his tenure, as well as winning the EFL Trophy in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old excels in all areas of the pitch to, making him the ideal box-to-box midfielder. During the 2016\/17, he scored goals and registered 13 assists, as Doncaster were promoted from League Two.<\/p>\n<p>While he did not have the most successful season in terms of goals in the 2019\/20 campaign &#8211; scoring just three times &#8211; he still registered eight assists. However, it was not quite enough, as Doncaster missed out on the play-off places.<\/p>\n<h3>What Was Said<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking about his new one-year deal, Coppinger said: &#8220;It was inevitable that I would come back.
