Norwich City<\/a> sporting director Stuart Webber says bidding for the Canaries’ young stars must begin at \u00a320 million.<\/p>\n

Any bidding for Norwich City’s young stars will begin at \u00a320 million, says Stuart Webber.<\/p>\n

The likes of Max Aarons<\/a>, Ben Godfrey<\/a>, Emi Buendia<\/a> and Todd Cantwell<\/a> have all had impressive campaigns for the Canaries.<\/p>\n

Despite Norwich City being relegated from the Premier League<\/a>, Godfrey and Cantwell have already been linked with transfers away.<\/p>\n

Potential transfers at home and abroad have been touted; Aarons has been regularly mentioned as another to potentially depart Carrow Road.<\/p>\n

Webber said the club are yet to receive any bids for their talented but will hold the advantage should anyone make their interest formal.<\/p>\n

He said<\/a>: “We are difficult to negotiate with when we are selling and we hold all the cards on our young players.<\/p>\n

“Not one of them has less than three years left on their contracts. They owe us, we owe them.”<\/p>\n

“They are homegrown, and British players cost more.” Webber added. “That is almost a Premier League tax these days.<\/p>\n

“We are fortunate we have a few of them. I am sure there will also be interest in our younger ones.<\/p>\n

“But that will be on our terms.”<\/p>\n

\u00a320 Million Has ‘Set the Benchmark’ For City Sales<\/h3>\n

Webber expects transfers within Daniel Farke<\/a>‘s squad, however, the sporting director insists advantage is with Norwich City.<\/p>\n

“If it is top clubs, like when Leicester<\/a> came in for James Maddison, you have to respect they can pay him and us a lot of money, and the player has his own personal ambitions. But will we sell someone on the cheap just because they say they want to go? No chance.<\/p>\n

“If you sign a contract a year ago it doesn\u2019t mean you can swan off into the sunset.<\/p>\n

“They are good guys. They care and the majority of their agents get it. Will there be interest? Of course, but on our terms. Has there been interest? No.<\/p>\n

“The staff here know I am fair and it won\u2019t be deluded figures we ask for, but we also need good characters to get us back up.<\/p>\n

“We got just over \u00a320m for James Maddison, after one season in the Championship, and we needed the money.<\/p>\n

“So what I would be saying to people is please have a look at that before you pick up the phone to us. That has set the benchmark for our club.”<\/p>\n
